What do we do?

Our main job is to maintain and support all critical communications infrastructure within New Tribes Mission in Papua New Guinea. When those computers are working properly we help missionaries with any kind of computing technology need they may have. We do provide a wide range of services to our missionaries – from email support, web support, computer repair, radio installation and support, and sometimes even project research and deployment.

What language do we speak?

Papua New Guinea is made up of over 800 different languages groups. However, the universal language most everyone speaks is a trade language called pidgin english. (A trade language is a language that is used for communication between tribes when they trade or barter.) This language is extremely limited but has gained popularity as more words and concepts are being introduced to the country. Here is a dictionary list of some of the words… (Click Here)

Did you know that there are clubbers in Papua New Guinea?

Awana in Papua New Guinea began in 1991 …
Awana was started in Port Moresby at an Association of
Baptists for World Evangelism (ABWE) mission church.
They received official training in 1999 when our first na-
tional Awana missionary moved there. They are also the
first church to have the Awana Varsity program — a very
large, effective outreach to their community. Several
churches are using Awana TruthSeekers, a program writ-
ten for children who have mixed and confusing spiritual
beliefs.
